We're here to help you understand Lewy Body Dementia.
Welcome to the Canadian Lewy Body Dementia Information homepage. Here you can find links to CLBDI news, upcoming events and a little about us. Follow the links or use the navigation menu to find pages that contain more in-depth information on the disease, our story and what we are doing to raise funds and awareness about Lewy Body Dementia (LBD).
Our mission at CLBDI has always been to raise awareness about Lewy Body Dementia and raise the funds that are needed for the fight against this disease. Our vision with this website was to establish something that is both a hub for Lewy Body Dementia information and the pathway that connects people in the Waterloo region, and all across Canada, who are dealing with Lewy Body Dementia.
Whether you have been recently diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia, a caregiver or care partner to someone with Lewy Body Dementia or just someone interested in learning more about the disease, our goal is to have the right resources available to you and help you in any way we can. We understand that Lewy Body Dementia can be overwhelming, so we want you to know that openness, compassion and clarity are at the core of our values.

My name is Carol.
Dealing with a Lewy Body Dementia diagnosis and the disease itself can be one of the hardest experiences in your life. I know this because I went through it myself with my late husband, Bob. I wanted to first and foremost let you know that all of this, this website and the fund, is the culmination of those dark days and my desire to be a guiding light for all those who may being going through what we are going through. It can be so overwhelming. Before you go any further, I wanted you to know that I know what it is like. Reaching out can be the hardest step when you feel lonely and completely overwhelmed but, in fact, you are not alone. I am here for you.
